After glorious days on the beach, strolling around the Gardens, and exploring and taking in the entertainments offered on the Pier, be prepared to go a little further afield. As already mentioned the harbour town of Poole, is well worth a detailed tour including the famous Sandbanks - with its most expensive houses.

Nearby Christchurch should also not be missed. An aura of charm and tranquillity pervades the small town, with historic buildings that span nine centuries, many of which are still in use to this very day. 

Also visit Upton Park with some of the best parkland and formal gardens in the whole of the south of England, with its stately home which is simply splendid this place is most certainly worth a visit.

The nearby New Forest is the largest area of woodland and open heath in England, now under the careful administration by the Forestry Commission, established as a hunting ground by William the Conqueror
